Did you know that there are over 3,000 emojis today? Rewind a few decades (back to 1963, to be exact), and there was one influential one: the smiley face. A Worcester artist named Harvey Ball created it with the goal of spreading joy, kindness, and positivity throughout the world but, over the years, it’s been so commercialized that the original meaning has been lost.
